About Us

 

 

"The Scholarship Revolving Fund-1998" is a non-political, non-profit and non-racial organization established on initiation of the local qualified and committed social workers on 24th February 1998 (i.e.12th Falgun 2054) on the occasion of National Education Day. It began running its programs in and around Butwal Municipality, Naharpur Secondary School as the center. It aims to stretch its programs gradually all over the country. Its true purpose is to provide schooling for deprived children from very poor and under privileged communities. A general assembly meeting is held every year and a general election is held once in every 3 years. Seven to 11 members are elected for the Executive Committee for the tenure of 3 years. An Executive Meeting is held in every 4 months.


REGISTRATION AND AFFILIATION


"The Scholarship Revolving Fund-998" has been registered under the District Administration Office, Rupandehi, HMG-Nepal on 17th April 1998 (i.e.4th Baishakh 2055 BS.) and affiliated to Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal on 15th Chaitra 2055 BS.

 

THE VISION


The illiteracy rate of the country will be reduced gradually. Schooling will be understood meaningful and taken in a proper sense. Creativity and practical knowledge towards education will be developed. Taking the principle "Education For All" into practice, illiteracy will be eradicated. Even poor parents/guardians will be motivated to educate their children and no child will be deprived of the "Light Of Education". The hidden talent and intelligence of today's helpless teenagers will be utilized for Nation-Building tomorrow.

 

THE MISSION

 

1. To provide economic support to the poor, destitute, disabled, under-privileged children and orphans for schooling and educational materials.
2. To inspire the teenagers and to develop their abilities competitively.
3. To contribute upgrading literacy.
4. To run a SCHOOL for the poor, destitute, disabled, under-privileged children and orphans.

Educational upliftment.
To create favorable teaching learning environment.
Overall development of the country.

 

 

OBJECTIVES

 

 

To run programs among parents, teachers and children from schooling point of view.
To run follow-up programs and observe the result.
To raise a good understanding among the parents/guardians about the importance of the schooling of their children.
To increase guardians participation in promoting the standard of schools for better education.
To encourage and enable the children from Badi, Tharu and such other under developed communities to start schooling by providing Scholarship and Educational Materials.

 

 

FOCUS GROUP

 

For the children who are:

 

In need of little bit help and financial support to start or continue schooling.
Very intelligent but compelled to discontinue school due to monetory problems.
From very under developed communities such as Badi, Tharu, Kami, Sarki, Damai, etc. who are deprived of schooling.
Capable of learning but not capable of buying educational materials and reference books.
Deprived of schooling because of the unawareness and illiteracy of the parents.
From so poverty-stricken background that never have chance to think of education.
Crippled by birth or by accidents and are helpless.

Case study of girl teenagers from Badi communities in Butwal Municipality Rupandehi.
